The Partner

This was the second App Colto created in partnership with Highlights for Children, the giant US kids’ magazine publishers. Highlights wanted an app for their preschool audience inspired by Colto’s multi award winning game Shape Gurus.

Our Approach

For our research, we worked with an early childhood learning expert, carried out a thorough competitor analysis and watched kids playing other shape learning apps. Our Game Designer created a concept where the child is led on a journey that is like an unfolding story full of surprises and animations.

The Product

In the app the child takes a fox in his spaceship through an imaginative world filled with shape shifting activities that introduce preschoolers to math skills such as matching, sorting and classifying shapes and colors. The puzzle games are woven into engaging stories and the games gradually increase in difficulty.
